#F4TFriday #114 ~ Nightmares |
Floss's prompt for #113
certainly inspired lots of you into posting. We have both so enjoyed
reading all your words about why you blog.
Many bloggers have done a
great job of writing a post that covers more than one of the weekly
memes – in fact I did that myself. It is something to consider
each week if you link to memes on a regular basis, particularly now
the F4tFriday questions are merely guidance, write whatever you
want to about the prompt topic. We are always happy for you to link
up an older post and update it with the F4t badge, or write a fiction
piece.
#113 Spotlight Post
This week there is a spotlight roundup post which focuses on three of last week entries - You can check out the post here. The roundup included - Malflic, Asrai and Elliott Henry.
Prompt #114 Nightmares (&/or Dreams)
Many thanks to Molly for letting us use her amazing photo for the header image to this weeks prompt.
The topic NIGHTMARES has
been suggested by Sweetgirl. You can find her on her blog creating
great content each week.
Origins ~ The word
"nightmare" is derived from the Old English "mare",
a mythological demon or
Meaning ~ Nowadays it
means either a frightening/unpleasant dream OR experience.
Please write whatever
you want to on the topic. Use nightmares/day-mares or indeed dreams
as your food for thought muse. Here are a few things to think about
to get your juices flowing.
May Asks... |
- What causes you to have a bad dream?
- Have you ever suffered from sleep paralysis?
- Do you experience recurring dreams?
- Tell us about a living nightmare?
To
show your support for others please remember to try and read and
comment on a few of the entries.
Some people are prone
to experience lucid dreams – when you are aware you are dreaming
and have control of some of your actions within the dream. I asked
Floss what she knows about this.
I know a lot about
lucid dreams from what I’ve read online and I know a whole lot more
from what happens when I go to bed. I am not blessed with the ability
to have lucid dreams, I am however cursed with lucid nightmares. If
you’d like to know more about my dreams you should read Between the Worlds. Presented as fiction, but in many ways, it is very real to
me.
- A late entry from Cara Thereon Who's the Monster.
Thank you for putting this up as a topic. Three are really interesting reads, though I am going to sit this one out. Mine are too real to talk about, at least for now.
ReplyDeleteNo worries Francesca - I do hope to hear your thoughts on another topic soon ;-) We have both been enjoying your posts immensely x
