There were some excellent D's articles included in this weeks entries. I am a fan of Purple Gem and was drawn to Purple Sole's post initially for two reasons. The image attached to the narrative. PS looking very flamboyant. And also the title - Always Seeking More - Me being A “More” of course. It made me smile. But once I started reading I knew immediately I would be featuring it here. I am always impressed by PS's honesty and as usual he talks frankly and intelligently about his life with Gem and their relationship

This isn’t just about D/s, social media is all about portraying an image, a better more successful, more attractive you. And if everybody else is then the only reason we’re doing it is to stay on the same level as others. Trying to improve oneself isn’t inherently bad. I strive to be a better Dom and a better human. To help this I had clothes I wouldn’t usually wear ready to take to Eroticon this year. The yearly Erotic conference – Eroticon – was cancelled due to concerns about the virus. However for those with long journeys the news came too late and they arrived in Camden. What to do? Before I move on to the spotlight post I want to mention a few things. Each week, as well as F4T, I'm also involved in the admin side of Sex Bloggers For Mental Health. There is a special collaboration going on this week between SB4MH, TellMeAbout and WickedWednesday. They are discussing Codependency as their topic. Check out those links if you want to take part.

The second mention is Master's Pleasing Bitch health related site and meme. The first prompt is all about physical health. I am writing my post this very day.

I want to add a quick mention to SubMissy who celebrated an important birthday this week. Her post “Mother to Adults” really resonated with me, having older children like Missy. I was sure it was going to be my spotlight post until Deviant Succubus added a last minute entry yesterday afternoon. I felt DS discussed many important aspects of what Pride and being Proud is all about. It is excellent read.

See, for me, pride has absolutely nothing to do with who I am, where I come from, who my parents are or who I can fall in love with. Pride, for me, has only to do with real accomplishments, with things that I can do, things that I have done well or things that I have created. I personally don’t relate to concepts of honour and pride, national pride or being proud of one’s sexuality. I am not saying that this should be the way everyone approaches the concept of pride. We all have our own definitions and understandings of it. And that is okay because pride is first and foremost a feeling, and we all identify and describe feelings differently. But what pride feels like inside: the warm fuzzies of feeling good about something? I think that is something that most people experience similarly. READ MORE ...

The topic was suggested by Sweetgirl. As she had already chosen a spotlight post in week #123 I asked the incredibly talented creator of #SB4MH, Sassy Cat if she would like to pick an article to highlight for this week.

Cat - Most of the friendships I read about seemed to have similar themes. Many did not have a lot of friends but the friendships they did have were long-lasting treasures. Friends seem to come & go often when we were younger and most of us have made wonderful online friends via Twitter and the blogging community. There were a few like myself that married their best friend, shame on me because I forgot to mention that in my post.  

When I started reading "Mince, tins and appetites" by Inigo More I wondered why was he writing about food when the prompt is friendship? That was the hook, it was my curiosity that kept me reading and wanting to know what food has to do with friendship. I was so entertained reading his description of having his first Italian dinner at his friend Gino's house.  

 "'Delicious’ wasn’t a word I understood until that evening. Within minutes of arriving, I found myself heaving ever-larger portions of strangely wonderful things into my suddenly bottomless belly. I was surrounded by a crowd of loud Gnulatis doing the same thing, although they had also mastered the art of arguing in two languages while gorging. Around nine p.m. they rolled me to the door, handed me a paper bagful of home-made pastries and I waddled home, farting and belching in juvenile ecstasy." READ MORE

I knew almost as soon as I started read Miss Scarlet's post for the MeToo topic that I was going to relate to it and I was right. I felt so apprehensive on Miss Scarlet's behalf as she set the scene and took me step by step though her ordeal. 

We went through the stile and immediately we got to the other side I felt him try to grab my hand.  I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t want to alarm him and put myself in more danger and I didn’t want to panic, so I just moved my hand  right behind my back and just walked as fast as I could. But the one that I really kept thinking about is from the previous host of Food for Thought – Kilted Wookie. He wrote so openly about his feelings regarding cunnilingus. So personal and so inspiring. I hated this act when I was younger. It really takes someone who shows they love it, to make the difference. And KW is that person in this post.

Being a bit of a secret hoarder myself has its perks and it thrills me knowing about a little piece of a person that no one else may know. I’m not the vindictive type so even if I have a falling-out with a person their secret is still safe with me.

This brings me to why I chose Melody from Melody Insights this week; she has shared her secret with us throughout her blog, but this post really hit a soft spot. As children we are like sponges- we learn, observe, and internalize how we are brought up. This is key in the way we interact with other people and whether or not we let them see our true selves.

The posts were as varied as I hoped for. Some memories being tough, others poignant and some being more whimsical. I don't look at this as picking a winner, it's too subjective for that. When it comes to choosing a post it boils down to the very intangible 'how did it make me feel?'

To this end I've chosen "These Moments In Time" by Submissy. It reminded me just how much the big things depend on grasping and enjoying the little things that can seem inconsequential and in doing so brought a big smile to my face.
