asked the incredibly talented creator of #SB4MH, Sassy Cat if she would like to pick an article to highlight for this
week.
Cat - Most of the friendships I read about seemed to have similar themes. Many did not have a lot of friends but the friendships they did have were long-lasting treasures. Friends seem to come & go often when we were younger and most of us have made wonderful online friends via Twitter and the blogging community. There were a few like myself that married their best friend, shame on me because I forgot to mention that in my post.
When I started reading "Mince, tins and appetites" by Inigo More I wondered why was he writing about food when the prompt is friendship? That was the hook, it was my curiosity that kept me reading and wanting to know what food has to do with friendship. I was so entertained reading his description of having his first Italian dinner at his friend Gino's house.
"'Delicious’ wasn’t a word I understood until that evening. Within minutes of arriving, I found myself heaving ever-larger portions of strangely wonderful things into my suddenly bottomless belly. I was surrounded by a crowd of loud Gnulatis doing the same thing, although they had also mastered the art of arguing in two languages while gorging.
