The first 'naughty' magazine I saw when I was a fairly young had a profound effect on me. It was very well thumbed as it had done the rounds. Thankfully I don't recall any pages being stuck together. Yes, I really shouldn't have looked as I was not 18 at the time. And, yes, it almost certainly portrayed the women in a very false, very sexist, very male-centric way.
But the models were just so gorgeous. And so attractive. And so unbelievably sexy - especially when they slowly took off more of their clothes as you turned the very crumpled pages.
And
I thought that when I grew up I would love to take photographs that
celebrated the glorious sexiness of the female form. Oh yes, and get
to see such beauties myself, because I was at an all-boys school and
reckoned this was the only way I would ever get anywhere close to
someone of the opposite sex. I also realised that I adored a really
good striptease and so wanted to see one for real.
But
now I am older and hope to grow up soon (well, retire and do all the
things I have really wanted to do), the idea has morphed a little.
While
I haven't actually taken any nude or glamour photos, I have to confess
to seeing a few burlesque shows and stripteases - and love them if
they are done well.
So,
the dream now is that I would like to manage a really hot, exclusive
burlesque club. There would be a couple of shows a week, featuring
classic stripteases of course. One of these shows would be a little
more reserved, nipple tassels and g-strings would remain on. But one
would be gloriously naughty and all would be revealed.
And
the club would have several sidelines like an erotic book club with
monthly talks and discussions, erotic art shows (there are a good few
Twitter friends whose brilliant work I would love to showcase),
intelligent talks and conferences about sex, decadent dinner parties.
And we might even dabble in the production of the odd adult film.

I love this post Woody - yep single sex schools make meeting the opposite sex hard, especially if you're quiet or shy. I think lots of us can relate to your early experiences with a porno mag though - I know from the comments I got back on my story Centrefold.
