F4TFriday #103 - When I Grow Up

When I Grow Up #F4TFriday #103
#F4TFriday #103 is When I Grow Up
Thank you for another great week on Food For Thought Friday and big thanks to May who provided us with last weeks topic, this week that particular challenge falls to me before I discuss that though it's spotlight time for my favourite post from last week.

#102 Spotlight Post

This week @_Masterseye takes the spotlight position. I LOVED her post Mistakes. Not only do I think it will resonate with many of us, but I also hope her 'I will' section of the post reminds us all to approach our own lives in just the same way. However, it is her 'I should' section that I take my quote from, because how could I not ...

"I should have remembered that I am a FUCKING QUEEN
I should have made sure my husband knew it
I should have owned it, put on the mantle and worn the crown'
Prompt #103 - When I Grow Up

When I was at Eroticon I heard a lot of folks say ‘when I grow up I want to be ...’ followed by the name of a fellow blogger. I think it’s a sweet way to acknowledge how someone inspires you and those exchanges are in part my inspiration for this week’s Food For Thought Friday topic ...

  • What did you want to be when you were little?
  • As an adult what would you most like to get paid to do?
Those are just two possible questions in relation to how our aspirations change as we grow but please feel free to write generally in any way the prompt inspires you. I’d love to hear from people who wanted to be something fanciful like the tooth fairy just as much as I want to hear about people’s serious goals for a future career. If you were to use the phrase ‘when I grow up I want to be ...’ what would fill in your blank?

May Says ...

I asked my co-host May 'Have you ever had a job you found fascinating? Was that job as exciting as people imagined?' She replied:

I am not sure if any job I have done would be seen as fascinating but one of my personal
favourites was when I was studying for my degree in London.
To help fund myself I got a job in a very swish wine bar in the city. It was owned by a
famous ex-footballer and let's just say the staff had a lot of fun working there!
